What is the intercom-device-id-* cookie?

Identifier for each unique device that interacts with the Messenger. It is refreshed on each successful ping, extending it another 9 months. We use this cookie to determine the unique devices interacting with the Intercom Messenger to prevent abuse.

Our October 2026 scan found it on 7 sites (0% of the 2,450 we scanned), set before any consent.

How to stop it
