Corrections
We try hard to get things right, and when we don't, we want to know.
How to report an error
Email hello@cookietosser.com with:
- The page it's on (a link is best).
- What it says, and what you believe is correct.
- A source, if you have one: an official publication, statute, primary document or other reliable reference.
Reports come from our own automated scans (see how it works), so there's no upstream record to edit: tell us and we'll look.
Site owners: if you've changed your site since the date on its report, email us from an address at that domain and we'll rescan it. A rescan replaces the report with whatever the scanner sees now, whether or not that's what you hoped. We don't remove accurate reports on request, but a site can ask not to be scanned in future by disallowing its homepage in robots.txt.
Wrong company or cookie category: tell us which host or cookie and what it's actually for, ideally with a link to the vendor's documentation. Fixes apply to every report at the next monthly update.
What happens next
We check every report against a primary source. If the page is wrong we fix it, usually within a few days and sooner for anything that could cause harm. Significant corrections are noted on the page with the date they were made.
What we can't change
We don't change accurate information because someone would prefer it said something else, and we don't publish claims we can't verify.
